“I make you uncomfortable.”

Bea’s head jerked up and she stared into the eyes of the very man she’d hoped to avoid!

She glanced through the doors and, sure enough, everyone else from the meeting was mingling with cups of coffee or other libation in hand.  “I thought…!”

He chuckled softly and her nerves seemed to titter with excitement as he pushed away from the wall where he’d been leaning, moving closer to the table.  He stuffed his hands in his pockets, but she already knew he had beautiful hands.  Sexy hands.  There had been several times during the meeting where she’d wondered what it would feel like to have those strong fingers touching her, drifting over her skin.

Shaking herself, she pulled her eyes away from the man’s hidden hands, looking him directly in the eyes.

“You thought that you’d have a moment to breathe, to try and figure out why your pulse pounds every time we are close.”

He wasn’t asking.  He was stating.

Bea wondered if that meant he felt it too!

“No,” she muttered, licking her lips and…her eyes dropped to his mouth.  A firm mouth.  His lips weren’t full like some of the male models she’d admired over the years.  His lips were thin.  Formidable.

The man smiled.  “Will you join me for dinner tonight?” he offered.

Dinner?  Just the two of them?  Not a chance!

“I have to get back to Philadelphia, Your Highness.  If we’re going to meet your timelines, then I have to start directing my staff.”

He smiled slightly and that smile was…amazing!  It lit up his eyes, making her suspect that he understood her lame excuse.
