His Hidden Heir - Excerpt

Al-Sintra Family

Saif watched Jemma’s lovely features shift from relief and excitement to confusion.  Then horror.

Not exactly the response he was hoping for.

“Wedding?” she choked out.

“Yes,” he replied, moving closer to her.  “Our wedding.  I’ve thought about our situation and discussed custody agreements with my legal team.”  He shook his head. “The only way that both of us get to raise our daughter together is if we’re married and together.”

Jemma’s mouth fell open and his eyes moved to her soft, full lips.  “But…!”

“Are you going to pretend that the attraction is no longer there?” he asked, moving closer to her.  Even from several feet away, he noticed the erratic beat of her pulse at the base of her throat.  He saw her lips soften and…yes, her nipples tightened.

“Yes!” she gasped, her fingers curling into fists.

He stopped right in front of her, his eyes bright with anticipation.  “So if I were to touch you like this,” he said, running a finger over the bare skin of her arm, “that wouldn’t excite you at all?”

When her mouth fell open and her body leaned towards his, Jemma was lost.  Until she realized what she was doing and pulled back…that’s when he knew that he was right.  The attraction was there and it was just as intense as before.

“You feel it,” he said, triumph in his voice now.  “Which makes marriage the perfect answer for our situation.”

“We don’t have a situation,” she asserted, trying to sound confident, but her voice hitched and he could sense her body’s need to come closer.

He shoved his hands into his pockets again, needing some sort of obstacle to keep himself from pulling her into his arms and proving to her that they still had it.  And it wasn’t going away.

“Okay, so how would you suggest that we raise Jayla together?”

She opened her mouth, but then bit down on her full, lower lip.  He caught his breath, trying to hold back his reaction to that movement, but it was hard!
